Where do you turn for help when you are spiritually hurting?

In 1983 on my first stateside furlough from the foreign mission field, I wrote to the Forum in the Church Administration Magazine of the Southern Baptist Convention asking pastors to reply to the following question: "When you are hurting spiritually, where in the convention will you turn for help?" Only 2 pastors were honest or bold enough to reply to the magazine. Both stated there was nowhere in the convention they felt safe to turn for help when they were spiritually hurting. Things have improved in the convention in that aspect, but no one wants their employer to know when they are having problems.
